Balance the bold dimensions of the beautiful Anemone Bloom with a slimline card and a simple greeting from the January Anemone Collection. Soft blues can be frosty winter pastels – or in anticipation of spring – just 5 weeks away! Hi, Jean here with a simple thank you card from our latest release.

Cut Anemone Bloom from a light blue 6×6 in the Ocean Blue Collection. Color the stamens with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair – we’re using just the two larger pieces here. Color the sepal with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair. Set them aside to dry.
Cut white cardstock with the die from the Vintage Tray 3D Embossing Folder and Die Set. We’re using just 2 of the diecuts here – save the others for another project. The tray’s diecuts are perfectly-sized for several of the new rub ons.
Cut the bud from the new White Anemone Rub Ons – leave a generous border around the design. Carefully remove the paper liner. Gently tap the design onto the small rectangle diecut. Place it between two layers of printer paper and run it through your diecut machine to burnish the bud onto the cardstock. (The rub ons set (2 sheets) includes a wood craft stick to burnish the designs if a diecut machine isn’t available.) Carefully remove the frosty plastic layer.
Back to the anemone…assemble the blossom. Attach it to the larger white rectangle diecut – use foam tape between the petals for shadowy dimension.
Glue two pieces of the same Ocean Blue 6×6 together for dimension and cut the Thank You Debut Script background. Cut the delicate top layer from white cardstock. Assemble the greeting.

Attach the diecuts to a blue slimline card (3-½” x 8-½”) – use foam tape for the greeting. Add blue Christmas Fairy Dewdrops. Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Thanks for visiting – Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone celebrating tomorrow!
