Gingerbread A-Frame House by Jean Okimoto

Build a festive gingerbread house from the new A Frame House die set.  Trims and candies from the Gingerbread House Frame set (from a previous release) add glittery sweetness and holiday cheer.  Hi, Jean here with a mix of classic favorites and new designs for Christmas.  Hope it also inspires you to enter November’s Food + Drink Challenge #113.  The entry deadline is the end of the day EST on November 29th.

Cut the A Frame House, roof line and chimney from dark kraft cardstock.  Cut the door from a bright red 6×6 in the Blush Collection.  Attach a strip of acetate behind the door for a glassy look, then attach the door to the house.

Darken the chimney with a light layer of Vintage Sepia VersaFine ink.  Cut the snowy chimney cap from the white 6×6 in the Festive Glitter Pad.

Cut two strips of white Festive Glitter Pad sheet with the short end of the largest Fringed Scalloped Frame.  Trim them just beyond the tiny holes to create strips of snow.

Cut the white glitter sheet  with the small angled/scalloped die from the Gingerbread House Frame set.  Trim the ends and attach it above the door.  More snow!

The candycanes, peppermints, gumdrops and loops are also cut from Gingerbread House Frame dies.  Glitzy Glitter Pad red 6×6’s, white cardstock and the turquoise Rainbow Reflections 6×6 create the sweet accents for the gingerbread house.

Cut a white cardstock background block with the 3-¾” x 5″ Rectangle Basics die.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½” x 6-¼”).  Add a gold-foiled white greeting tab from the Holiday Wishes set – they include 4 each of 10 great styles.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting our blog…have a great weekend!
