Birthday Song Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  I have a birthday card featuring the new Bird Blossom and Happy Birthday Sheet Music die sets.

Background:

Trim a dark orange paper from the Nutmeg Forest back to A2.  Trim a dark peach paper for Vintage Pastel Mirror paper pad to 2″ x 4 1/4″.

Focal Image:

Die cut the Bird Blossom and Happy Birthday Sheet Music die from heavy white paper.  Ink blend the flowers with Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy. Ink blend the bird with Distress Faded Jean, Dusty Concord/Lost Shadow (I have a custom ink pad called mystic muse) and Squeezed Lemonade for the birds belly.  Die cut the flower centers form the Lucky Blooms die and ink blend with Squeezed Lemonade.  Add some foam tape to the middle of the front flower and glue to the bottom and adhere to the back flower.  Use a backward tweezer to the lower part of the flower until the glue tries.  trim the centers of the Lucky Blooms flowers and adhere them to the 2 largest flowers.  Adhere the bird per the envelope.  Adhere to the center of the smallest flower.

Assembly:

Adhere the pattern paper to an A2 sized white note card.  Then adhere the dark peach paper to the center.  Adhere the Happy Birthday Sheet Music die cut to the center of the paper.  Adhere the flowers above the sheet music.  Trim a Happy Birthday to you white sentiment tab to just the individual works and adhere under the notes.  Adhere the separate notes by the bird making it look like he is tweeting the toon.
