Celebrate a summer birthday with stamped, stenciled Butterfly Kaleidoscope circles. Hi, Jean here with a design from our Cheerful Countryside release. Circle Basic dies make it easy to highlight and rotate the butterflies as they flutter in all directions.

Stamp Butterfly Kaleidoscope on smooth white cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair. Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder. Stencil it with the coordinating Butterfly Kaleidoscope 6×6 Art Stencils. I used my favorite stenciling inks – Brilliance – in Pearlescent Thyme, Pearlescent Lavender and Pearlescent Sky Blue. Dry the inks, then cut the design with the 3″ and 1.5″ Circle Basics dies. Cut matching circles from a light blue Lagoon Cardstock Pack 6×6.

Cut a darker blue Lagoon 6×6 with the 5.5″ x 4.25″ Heritage Rectangle Frame die.
Tip – instead of cutting it directly from the 6×6, cut a piece slightly bigger than the die. Angle the die and cardstock on the cutting plate(s) and platform to easily roll it thru the machine.
Cut the center of it with the 2.8″ x 4.1″ die for an “inlaid frame.” The frame pattern sort of matches the details of several butterfly wings. Over-thinking, maybe?

Attach the diecuts to a top-folded white A2 card. The great colors of the Lagoon 6×6’s and the Memory Box rectangle and frame die sets can create 30 custom-colored cards (3 each of 10 colors) in blues, turquoises, teals and lavender.
Add the blue-ish Treasure Chest Fairy Gemstones. Attach a Happy Birthday Foil Greetings Black Tab. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Add this to your birthday card stash and be ready for the next celebration. Thanks for visiting – happy weekend!
