Bright Blossoms
by Jean Okimoto

Celebrate a graduation, victory, new job, promotion, retirement or any great achievement with a tall arrangement of flowers in a very-altered Arched Flower Basket. It’s transitioned from a classic wicker basket to a swoopy woodgrain planter. The arrangement of flowers started off low – then kept getting taller and taller to balance the bold woodgrain container.

Apply Morning Mist VersaFine Clair to a strip of cardstock from the Woodgrain Paper Pack White – hold the inkpad horizontally and press and pull it over the cardstock to emphasize the texture. Heat-set the ink. Cut the cardstock with the outline die from the Arched Flower Basket set.

Cut the blossoms and centers from orange and yellow/orange Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock sheets. Cut them again with a teal Lagoon Solid Core Cardstock sheet. Cut the centers from Black Glossy Paper (cardstock). Cut the leaves from black cardstock.

Cut heavy white cardstock – or 2 sheets of medium-weight cardstock glued together – with the 3″ x 4.1″ Nested Globes die. Attach it to a top-folded white A2 card.

Attach just the bottom edge of the woodgrain diecut – leave the top edge open to add the blossoms and leaves. Attach the leaves first, then add the blossoms.

Add 1/4″ dots punched from the gold Majestic Hues Glitter Pad. Attach a Congratulations Foil Greetings Black Tab.

Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
