Here’s the FESTIVE FAWN 94966 with GATHERED EVERGREENS 94975 and GATHERED TREE TRUNKS 94976 wishing a “happy fall” with the HAPPY FALL STYLISH SCRIPT 94985.
To make this card I started with a blank white A2 note card. I die cut the Gathered Evergreens from the GREENERY CARD STOCK SP1011 and glued them to the note card to make an arch. Next I cut the Gathered Tree Trunks from watercolor paper and colored them using my Kuretake paints. I glued those on top of the evergreens. I used more watercolor paper to die cut then paint the Festive Fawn. Once assembled I added him in the center of the arch using dimensional foam dots.

To finish the card I used scraps of the green card stock and some white to cut out the Happy Fall Stylish Script. I used more dimensional foam dots to add this assembled sentiment to the top of the arch.
I have a soft spot in my heart for deer, especially in the fall when they are hunted here in Maine. My parents did wildlife rehabilitation for nearly thirty years and raised many fawns during that time that were later released to the wild. We did have two deer that lived with us as permanent residents–Sue who was injured shortly after birth and as a result had only three legs; and Betsy who was hit by a car on the highway and had broken both hind legs which never quite healed properly enough to release her. I’ve also had close encounters with deer in the wild in our woods. So when I saw the Festive Fawn die I knew I needed to make him the focus of a fall card.
