The Valise Papers have these fantastic tags and labels with varying sizes and designs and they inspired me to create a layout.
The focal point is the frame from the Valise paper paired with a picture of my youngest from Halloween in 2008. The month tag and ticket work to highlight the month and leave room for journaling. I paired the Valise papers with a sheet of Luminous to bring in some rich orange colors.
The Pumpkins (Crow and Pumpkin) are stamped using black ink and distressed with dye inks. I stamped over the pumpkin with the Elegant Damask stamp. The little cat is from the Cat and Moon stamp. After I cut the cat out I had a few white areas and all I had to do was place the black ink pad over the cat and fill in any gaps I had unintentionally left on the cat. 🙂
The background is created using the kraft side of the Valise paper and stamping Vintage Halloween Words repeatedly in black ink and sponging the edges with brown dye ink.
The numbers and banners are stickers.
