Here's a card I am teaching in a class at Ink About It on Tues, Apr 17th from 10am-noon. I'm calling the class Flip-n-Fold cards. As you can see from my sample, this one is a step fold design.
I used a variety of Memory Box dies to create the Tulip Garden scene. First, you can make your own step fold card – directions are plentiful online – or you can sometimes purchase pre-scored cards from your local craft store.
Using the Dancing Tulips die (98295) with Distressed Key Lime paper, I cut several flowers. You can always cut the flower heads from a different color and glue them over the original, or in this case, I just inked over the key lime with Versacolor Violet ink to make purple tulips. While the ink dried, I cut the Estate Fence (98285) in black paper. I used a piece of a boysenberry notecard to cut the Script Thanks (98240).
I wanted a soft pattern paper to accent the white step card, so I dug through my scrap stash and found some lovely sheets from the Gossamer paper pack. If you don't have any of this lying around, anything similar will do. You could choose one of the prints from the Viola paper pack, too.
FInally, with all the die pieces cut, I create the scene. Glue down the pattern paper along the two front edges and the bottom step. Arrange and glue the flowers, the leaves, and the gate. I used a Quickie Glue pen for all of it. When I put down the fence, I firmly laid my palm over it and held for a few seconds, letting my warm hand set the glue.
The last step is to add the Script Thanks across the bottom front edge. This card fits into a standard envelope and is ready to send!

Enjoy the rest of your week.
