Stitched Love

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the Memory Box Blog Blitz for the 2015 Spring Release.  I am the final post for the blitz and I hope you have all enjoyed the inspiring creations this week.

For my card I used the new Cross Stitched Love Die, Fairytale Flower Frame Die and Hearts Heart Confetti Stencil.  I die cut the Fairytale Flower Frame from Cranberry Distressed Dot cardstock.  Using the smaller die from the Cross Stitched Love Die, I die cut a 1" strip of White cardstock.  Turning the die cut strip over, I traced over the word with a waterbased red marker. Paint over the inked letters with plain water and a paintbrush.  When you turn it to the right side it looks as if you stitched the word.

For the background layer of my card I stamped text on Kraft cardstock.  Once the ink is dry, lightly brush over the background with Gesso.  Once again dry this layer. Next I stenciled texture paste through the Hearts Heart Confetti Stencil.  On the dried stenciled background I inked with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  Mist lightly with water to blend the ink.

Adhere the Fairytale Flower Frame to the stenciled background. Pop dot the Love die cut strip on top of the frame.  Spatter this layer using watered down Gesso and Pumice Stone Ink.  Assemble the card as shown. Add pearls to the large flower centers.
