Torrance Trees and Resting Birds
by Jean Okimoto

Here's an idea for May's "For the Birds"  Challenge…Resting Birds sitting in the shade of the new Torrance Trees.  These contemporary trees borrow some background color for the leaves.  They could also play well together with the Half a Dozen Eggs die set for a contrasting pop of color – just diecut some green egg-shapes and layer them behind the treetop cutouts for a simple card.

Just planning ahead…imagine the possibilities for autumn and Halloween cards with the Torrance Trees and fall colors!

Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a bit of Monday inspiration to start the new week.  Cut the Torrance Trees treetops from green cardstock.  Attach Scor-Tape to Kraft cardstock and cut the trunks.

Attach adhesive label paper (or sticker sheets) to yellow, orange and aqua felt and cut Resting Birds.

I cut the "thinking of you" –  from the Springtime Bunnies clear stamp set – into two pieces for more stamping options and versatility.  Stamp the greeting with VersaFine Habanero and emboss it with detail clear powder.

Attach the trees and birds – and some little gold sequins.  That's it - one of the quickest cards I've ever made – and you'll have a bunch of extra birds for a few more cards too.

Try the same design with purple, lavender and teal birds – and stamp your greeting with VersaFine Imperial Purple.  There are so many ways to use these great dies.  View our entire collection here.

Thanks for stopping by…have a great week!
