A Playful Boo-faced Stitched Farm Pumpkin joins the Swirling Ghosts on tonight’s card. The Woodland Oval creates the perfect backdrop for these little guys – attached with foam dots at the top, so they appear to float out of the branches.
Hi, Jean Okimoto here, hope you’re having a great weekend! Whimsy Cat is taking a break (probably napping) – so I’ve pulled the great Swirling Ghosts die from my stash for this design.
Cut the second-largest Stitched Oval Layer from black cardstock. Cut it again with Woodland Oval. Here’s a tip…use pieces of rolled painter’s tape to attach the die to the cardstock for cutting. That section will be tossed out, so it’s OK if the tape damages the cardstock. The cutout section is folded upwards to show the tape here.
Cut Swirling Ghosts from watercolor paper – save the fourth ghost for another project. Attach black cardstock scraps behind them for eyes.
Cut Stitched Farm Pumpkins from orange cardstock, watercolor paper and Licorice Dots. Cut the orange pumpkin with Playful Boo – save that teeny little piece inside the “b.” Cut the big pumpkin again from black cardstock. Attach it behind the orange pumpin and add the little piece you saved – and googly eyes.
Attach the diecuts to a Persimmon Notecard – use foam dots for the “boo” pumpkin and at the top of the ghosts. Persimmon is quickly becoming my favorite new notecard color. I love its almost-scary brightness – and how it works with so many colors including teal, lime, gray, gold, olive and violet. Yes, violet! Here’s a link to an Asian-inspired card posted earlier.
