Merry Christmas Card
by Donna Sledzik

Hello everyone!  Today I have another Christmas card for you featuring new dies from the 2020 Christmas release. I really love the new Forest Pine Branch die! I’m sure you’ll see me use it in many more projects.

To make this card, I die cut the Pointed Pine Needle Frame in the center of my white cardstock panel. Then I die cut frame, colored it and glued it back in place to assemble the card. Next I used Versa Mark Ink and stamped the word background on the panel and white heat embossed it.  Next I sponged over the paper using Simon Hurley’s Woof dye ink pad and glued the card front to a white card base.

I die cut the Forest Pine Branch 3 times from white cardstock and sponged them with Distress Ink. For the branches I used Gathered Twig and the pine needles were Mowed Lawn and Forest Moss.  For the frame I used Old Paper Distress ink.  Once everything was colored I cut some branches apart to place on my card.  I glued the frame in place first and then went on to fill in with my branches.

I die cut the words Merry Christmas once from Red Foil Paper and twice from white cardstock. I glued the 2 white pieces together and added the red foil piece on top. This gives the words some dimension. Next I glued the words to the center of the card front.

To finish the card I added some red pearls for berries. And that’s it for today!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
