Pine-y Christmas
by Anne Thompson

Today's Merry Christmas card features three of the pine dies.

materials used

how I made this card

  • I started with a white notecard and a 4 X 5 1/4 panel cut from olive-y green cardstock.
  • I then did all of the die cutting–the Forest Pine Branch from brown cardstock; the Pointed Pine Needle Frame from a green plaid;  lots of Pointy Pine Needle Sprigs from more of the same green plaid and another plaid so I would have lots to choose from; and the Special Merry Christmas from a red and green plaid scrap.

  • I adhered the Pointed Pine Needle Frame to the notecard panel using a glue pen and then glued on two of the Pointy Pine Needle Sprigs on top of the frame one.

  • Then I worked with the Forest Pine Branch and more of the Pointy Pine Needle Sprigs to create a fuller needle-y branch which I tucked under the other corner sprigs.

  • The last step for this panel was to add the Merry Christmas sentiment strip using foam tape.

  • On the inside I added another olive-y green panel, a scrap of red plaid paper, a white box in which to write a message, and three more of the pine needle sprigs.

I love how the narrow gold stripes on the papers bring a little sparkle and shine to all of the card elements.

More dies and new stamp sets have been added to the 2020 Christmas Collection including a bunch for fall and Halloween!  See them here.

Happy Crafting!
