Watercolor Christmas Card
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends.  Today I want to share a card I colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, a waterbrush, and some Memory Box watercolor paper.

First, I stamped my holly onto watercolor paper using black Versafine ink and then allowing the ink to dry.  Next, I colored the bottom of each leaf with my darkest green pen:

Next, I blended out the dark green marker using a lighter green marker.  The nice thing about a real brush marker is that you don’t have to worry about the dark paint staining your lighter marker (as you would with a Tombo or Marvy).

Finally, I dragged the light green marker out to the edges using a waterbrush:

For the berries, I added some color to he bottom of each circle before dragging the color out to the edges with my waterbrush:

Here is the close up of the finished piece popped up on the card:

The background for the card is simply the new Krotted Diamond Background die paper-pieced with some of the new Memory Box garland 6″ x 6″ papers.

Have a great day!
