A Plaid-Clad Cozy Quacker
by Jean Okimoto

Cut the new @memoryboxco Cozy Quacker from plush wool-blend felt and accessorize him in plaid. You’ve created a guy-card for the holidays! Textured Cinched Frames match several trees of the Nutmeg Forest background and the scarf fringe…details, details! Glittery dots add sparkly accents.

Cut the Nutmeg Forest tree print with the 2.1×3.4″ Cinched Frames die. Cut a matching green 6×6 from the Greenery Solid Core Cardstock Pack. Attach them to a top-folded white A2 card.

Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to white wool-blend felt. The paper backing stabilizes the felt and prevents glues from saturating it. Cut the main section of Cozy Quacker – save the felt “bill” to add dimension to the design.

Cut the bill and feet from an orange 6×6 in the Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock Pack. Cut the face base layer from black cardstock. Assemble the duck – attach the saved felt bill behind the orange cardstock bill for dimension.

Cut the hat and scarf from the green Nutmeg Plaid 6×6 and a light green 6×6 from the Greenery Solid Core Cardstock Pack Assemble and attach the scarf and hat and add the plaid-clad Cozy Quacker to the card.

Punch 1/4″ dots of the green Festive Glitter Pad 6×6. Add a Merry Christmas Foil Greetings Black Circle Tab. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The Nutmeg Plaid and Nutmeg Forest have great coordinating plaids and prints for colorful variations of this design. Mix and match them in shades of green, rust and dark orange for holiday guy-cards.
