Hello and welcome, it’s Angie here today with this fun mini slimline card featuring stamps, dies and papers from Memory Box!
Here’s a closer look at my card:
And here’s how I made my card:
1. Die cut 3 of the Memory Box “Woodgrain Planks” from “Ivory Woodgrain Paper”
2. Swipe “Tea Dye” Distress Ink on 3 of the the longest plank and 1 of the next longest
3) Cut the 2nd largest plank into half for the cross planks
4) Find the center of the 3″ by 6″ mini slimline panel and add one long plank vertically toward the top
5) Add one long plank on either side and the the cut in 1/2 planks horizontally toward top & bottom
6) Add 4 brown sequins to look like nails in the boards
7) Die cut the “Dreamy Freesia” “Layered Fresh Flowers” “Wildflower Stems” “Daisy Stems” & “Layered Daisies” from greens, pinks and deep purples (add dark pink ink in flower centers)
8) Choose flowers and stems from the die cuts and trim them as you like to fit in front of the planks
9) Add something to the flower centers, I used some old “Candies” from my stash (they don’t make these anymore, but you could just cut or punch tiny circle from polka dot paper if you like the look
10) Stamp the sentiment from “Signature Greetings” in Versafine Clair Pinecone ink and heat emboss in clear embossing powder.
11) Choose a piece of paper from the “Spring Slim Paper Pad” that has gold criss-cross pattern and green plaid on the other, and cut it to 3.25″ by 6.25″
12) On the plaid side, rub the Distress Ink pad (Tea Dye) around the edges. The gold criss cross lines on the back of the paper will actually show through as white or lighter marks giving the edges texture
13) Add the mat to the card base then the plank panel on top of that
If you look carefully at the edges of the tea dyed mat you can see the texture lines from the gold lines on the other side of the paper.
