First Christmas Lessons by Jean Okimoto

The new Wistful Sparrow teaches her chicks some seasonal lessons in a Holiday Snowglobe scene.  Are they learning Christmas carols – or the difference between Santa’s “naughty” and “nice” lists?  Hi, Jean here with more great new items from our just-released Winter Days Collection.

Cut the circle from the new Holiday Snowglobe set from white cardstock – and cut a semi-circle from green cardstock.  Attach it behind the white circle for contrast on the left edge.  Cut the leaves and holly from two shades of green from the Greenery 6×6 Collection.

Cut the base from kraft cardstock.

Cut Wistful Sparrow from the new Cherry Red 8-½” x 11″ Paper Pack. It’s 100# solid-core cardstock – perfect for diecutting, layering and card bases.  Color the background piece for the beak and eye with a black marker.  Cut the wing from the red Glitzy Glitter Pad 6×6.

Cut Little Bird Bunch from Cherry Red cardstock and the red Glitzy Glitter Pad 6×6.  Color the beaks with the black marker.  Save the extra birds for another project.

Attach the snowglobe circle to the base (about ⅛” above the bottom of the base) with foam tape.  Add the greenery and birds.  Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½” x 6-¼”).  Add the new Christmas Labels Foil Greetings Black Tab.  Attach green Christmas Fairy Dewdrops.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting our blog…have a great weekend!
