Merry Christmas
by Donna Sledzik

Hello everyone!  Today’s card uses up scraps of patterned paper that I know we all have.

I began by covering a panel of white cardstock with double sided tape.  Next, I cut strips of scrap paper to 1/4″ wide.  I laid out the strips of paper on my desk to get the right color combination.

I peeled the backing off the adhesive and adhered my paper strips at an angel across the whole card panel.  I trimmed all the excess paper from the cardstock, placed it in the Pinecones and Berries 3D embossing folder, then ran it through my die cut machine.

Next, I took a Gold pigment ink pad and lightly rubbed over the embossed images, sprinkled clear embossing powder over the paper and heat embossed it.  I repeated this step using Black Archival ink and then spattered it with white ink.

I glued the card front to a white cardstock mat and then a gold cardstock mat. This was adhered to a white card base.

The shadow from the Merry Christmas die was cut from gold metallic paper and the words from white cardstock.  I glued the words to the gold shadow die cut and used foam tape to adhere it to the card.

To finish the card, I added some gold pearls and that’s it!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
