Celebrate the big day a big, glittered, textured Party Layer Cake. A very vintage paper crimper from a previous life adds texture and dimension to the cake layers. Hi, Jean here with a mix of classic favorites and new designs from our latest release – Birthday Wishes.

Cut the new Party Layer Cake layers from the pink Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad 6×6. Cut the layers again from a scrap of heavy white cardstock. Run the glittered layers through a paper crimper several times to add texture. Attach the white layers behind the glittered layers for dimension.
Cut 2 sets of the new Jolly Candles from pink cardstock. Color 9 candle wicks with a yellow marker. Attach them behind the top cake layer – wonky, angled and unevenly-spaced!
Cut the the top 2 sections of both Party Layer Cake scalloped “icing” from the yellow/orange Graceful Garden Glitter Pad 6×6 – we’ll use the top diecut, and its adjacent offcut. Trim the offcuts to release them from the glittered cardstock. I think they resemble party garlands here…hope you agree!
Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-1/2″ x 6-1/4″).
Stamp the greeting – from the new Birthday Chic Clear Stamps and Die Set – on white cardstock with VersaMark. Heat-emboss it with detail gold powder. Trim it with the 1-1/2″ Circle Basics die.

Cut the new Happy Birthday Chic Script from the pink cardstock used for the candles. Attach it inside the card. Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
It’s another basic design that’s easy to create in the birthday-person’s favorite colors!
