Hi everyone. It is an exciting week with the new Peony release, There are so many beautiful flowers in this release. I choice the Crocosmia Stems die set and arranged them around the Frosted Lantern. Don’t forget to look at dies in your stash to see what can be paired with new dies. The layered flower releases are perfect to reach into your stash and use a die from a previous release, even a Christmas release. I just didn’t use the snow die cuts to just have the lantern.
Background:
Adhere a white 4″ x 5 1/4″ card on an A2 size black card. Lightly nk blend the center with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade using a large delicate blending brush. I used Pink Fresh brush.
Focal Image:
Die cut the flowers and center from the Crocosmia Stems from white card stock. Die cut the stems from a medium tone from the Leafy pad. Ink blend the middle of the stem with Distress Rustic Wilderness. Ink blend the flowers on the center with Distress Squeezed Lemonade. Ink blend the centers with Tea Die and Frayed Burlap. Adhere together using the envelope as a guide. Die cut the Frosted Lantern from heavy black card stock 2 times and the candle out of white. Ink blend the sides of the candle using Distress Antique Linen. Use a yellow and orange Zigg pen to color the flame of the color. Adhere every die cuts together. Use finger wax on the lantern in a dark golden color. Adhere the candle behind the lantern and the flowers over the lantern.
Assembly:
Adhere the background panel to the front of a top folding A2 white card. Adhere the Lantern over the ink blended background. Adhere a Happy Birthday Foil Greeting Tab to the bottom of the lantern.
