Happy Fall
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends. The weather has changed where I am, and I was motivated to make a fall card. To make the card, I used the Ollie bird die and combined it with some sunflowers from the Flower Basket Bouquet die set.

For the bird, I die cut my pieces from cream cardstock and sponged the edges of the body and head with Antique Linen Distress ink. I colored his wings with Gathered Twigs Distress ink. I also broke out my Nutmeg Plaid 6″ x 6″ paper to cut out his little hat and scarf. What is fall without a little plaid?

For the sunflowers, I cut out the petals using yellow cardstock and the flower centers with brown cardstock. I then edged the petals with orange and yellow inks and the flower centers with a little dark brown ink.

To finish the card, I added some leaf cardstock from the Nutmeg Forest 6″ x 6″ paper pack and added my sentiment to a cream colored arch.

Here is a close up of the card:

I always add a dot of white gel pen to the eyes to add a little bit of life and brightness to them.

Have a fabulous weekend!
