Vellum Pocket Card for Crafty Friend
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends. Today I made a card with a pocket on the front made out of vellum. I used the pocket as a means to hold all of my die cut flowers. Why am I saying that the card is for a crafty friend? Well, all of the flowers are “loose” in the pocket. I didn’t glue them down so that my crafty friend who receives the card can pull them out of the pocket and use them on her own craft projects.

To make the card, I die cut the Cherish Scalloped Frame out of light blue paper as well as vellum. I then trimmed the vellum piece down so that it could be a picket for the blue scalloped background:

Can you see the vellum on top of the card?

I stamped my message in black Staz On ink so that it wouldn’t smudge on the vellum.

For my flowers and leaves, I cut everything out of XPress It white cardstock and then colored pieces with a combination of Distress Inks and Copic markers:

You can see from the close up photo that the flowers are loose and not glued to the card. I thought it would be a fun way to send someone some crafty elements for them to use.

Thanks for stopping by today!
