Here’s a spring birthday design with buds, blossoms and gold details. Prints from the Anemone Grove 6×6 set create a tall background for double-embossed Playful Poppies. Highlight the bold design elements on an A6 card for a big celebration.
Spritz a piece of the medium-blue 6×6 from the Lagoon Solid Core Cardstock Pack with a light mist of water. Emboss it with the Playful Poppies 3D Embossing Folder. Place the embossed cardstock on a hard, flat surface and brayer it with VersaMark. Heat-emboss it with detail clear powder. Cut the cooled cardstock with the matching dies from the embossing folder and die set. Highlight the centers with Cheerful VersaFine Clair. Save the extra blossom for another project.
Glue two layers of white cardstock together for dimension and cut it with the 2.5″ Circle Basics die. Cut .75″x 5″ and 4.5″ strips of the pale blue/lavender Anemone Grove prints. Cut a .75″ x 5.5″ strip of the blue cardstock used for the blossoms.
Attach the diecuts and strips to a white A6 card (4.5″ x 6.25″) – use foam tape for the smaller blossom. Attach a Happy Birthday Foil Greetings Black Circle Tab. Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Why not use the extra blossom on an A2 card? Cut a smaller circle and shorter strips – then add a circle or tab foil greeting…and you’ll have 2 cards ready to go!
