Hello everyone! Samantha here on the Memory Box blog and today I am sharing a pretty floral card showcasing the Refined Peony Bloom dies.

Background:
For this card, I decided to make a background using the Butterfly Kaleidoscope background stamp. I kept things simple and just stamped onto 80lb white cardstock using lavender dye ink from my stash. Next, I created a frame using the second and third largest dies from the Heritage Rectangle Frames set. I cut two frames from 110lb cardstock and stacked them atop each other for added dimension.
I trimmed my stamped butterfly panel down to 3.5” x 4.75’ and adhered my white frame. I next adhered my framed panel onto a folding, A2-sized, white card-base and moved onto to building my peony.
Peony:
I die cut all of my Refined Peony Bloom elements from 80lb white cardstock. I also die-cut several leaves using the Tender Peony Bud dies. Using Altenew Fresh Dye Inks from the Jade Dreams and Enchanted Garden collections, I ink-blended all of my leaves and petals, ensuring the center petals were darker than the outer petals, before assembling my bloom as shown on the back of the packaging.
Note: I use the side of my pick-up tool to curl my petal tips before assembly to create movement. I also use thin foam squares in between some of my petals to enhance fullness and dimension.

Final Assembly:
Once my peony was complete, I arranged the bloom and the leaves in the lower left corner of my frame. I also added a “Thank You” tab in black to the right of my bloom. I then decided my card needed on final touch, so I die-cut a butterfly from the Exquisite Butterflies dies in white and ink-blended the butterfly in shades of Lemon Ice and Lime from Altenew.
Now my pretty card is complete and I hope you enjoyed it!
