Merry Christmas Card
by Donna Sledzik

Good morning everyone!  I am so excited to feature new products from the 2025 Joyful Season release.  One of my favorite dies from the release is the “Snowy Owl”.

To make this card, I began by die cutting one of the Nested Globes die from Light Blue cardstock and ink blending on it.  I used Chipped Sapphire and Prize Ribbon Distress Inks to darked the cardstock.  Next I spattered it with plain water, dried it and then spattered it with white ink.

On a white card base I lightly inked the center of the card with blue ink. (I used the same blue blending brush from the previous step and didn’t reink it). I spattered that background with white ink.  When it was dry I used foam adhesive to glue the domed die cut panel to the card base.

I die cut the owl and pine branches from colored cardstock, and used coordinating ink to add some depth to the die cut pieces.  I used foam tape to adhere the owl to the center of the die cut dome and glued the pine branch right underneath the owl.  I did end up cutting one more Pine Branch and cutting it apart to make the pine branch a little fuller.

For the owl I used texture paste to the hat brim and the pom-pom and sprinkled them with glitter.

The snowflakes were die cut from white glitter cardstock and clear fairy gems were glued to the center of the snowflakes.

To finish the card, I adhered a Foil Sentiment Strip.

That’s it for today!  I can’t wait for you to see all the new products from the release!
