Snowy Woods Shaker
by Karen Walker

Karen here, and I’m delighted to be joining this fabulous group of designers for Memory Box. There are so many fabulous products in the Joyful Season release It was hard to decide where to start. For my first share, I thought I’d make a shaker card with the wonderful Tall Evergreen Trees.

  • Die cut three Tall Evergreen Trees from green cardstock in the Greenery pad, and create a blue card base,
  • Apply a glitter paste through the Snow Flurries stencil to the front of the card and to each of the three trees. Set aside to dry.
  • To create a frame, layer the two largest dies from the Heritage Frame Rectangles and die cut them from matte silver cardstock. Back the frame with clear acetate, and add dimensional tape around all the edges.
  • Create a moon from a scrap of the matte silver cardstock with the second smallest circle in the Circles Basic dies; then recut to create a half moon. Add dimensional adhesive to the back of the moon.
  • Arrange and glue the trees and the moon on the card front.
  • Turn over the frame with acetate, and use a powder tool along the edges of the adhesive so the contents of the shaker won’t stick to the sides of the frame. Sprinkle in a combination of white sequins and confetti for the shaker.
  • Carefully line up the card base and adhere it to the shaker front.
  • Add the Black Tab banner to the front of the card.

Thanks for joining me today!

  1. I am not sure what I like more, your card or your beautiful picture of you at the bottom of your post. Memory Box is lucky to have you, Karen, and a big Congrats again! Your debut shaker card is just fabulous!
