Hello from the new Rainy Day Mouse – from our 2026 Spring Blooms collection! Here are the complete directions for a friendship card posted on my Instagram during our blog transition. The new Daisy Umbrella protects her from the Raindrop Plate droplets.
Prep the Raindrop Plate by rubbing it briskly with scrunched waxed paper to help release the tiny offcuts. Diecut a stencil from medium- or heavyweight-vellum. Vellum creates crisp edges and doesn’t absorb the VersaMark ink so you can re-use the stencil several times.

Spritz watercolor paper with a light mist of water then pressure-emboss it with the Raindrop Plate using the rubber embossing mat and plate(s) required for your machine. Stencil the raindrops over the embossed pattern with VersaMark – use a clean, well-inked inkpad. Heat-emboss it with Imagine Craft’s Iridescent MBoss powder. Trim it with the second-largest Nested Globes die. Cut a smaller background from white cardstock with the 3″ tall Nested Globes die.
Cut Rainy Day Mouse from 2 shades of light gray cardstock. Cut the narrow oval backing (for the little nose) from pale peach cardstock. Color the eye areas with a black marker. Cut the parka from the striped Poppystamps Birthday Fun 6×6 print.
Cut the Daisy Umbrella from pale peach cardstock and two shades of the Greenery 6×6 paper pad.
Stamp the greeting – from the new Playful Poppies Clear Stamp and Die Set – on white cardstock with Verdant VersaFine Clair. Heat-emboss it with detail clear powder. Cut it with the coordinating die.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-1/2″ x 6-1/4″). Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Thanks for visiting! Brighten a rainy day with designs from our latest release…and be ready for spring!
