Greetings friends. I want to share a card that uses the new Playful Poppies clear stamp set. I never get tired of floral cards.
I decided I wanted my poppies to be watercolored, and I especially like the bright colors of paint you get from Peerless Watercolors:

The Peerless paints are pieces of paper that are coated with watercolor paint. I love the portability of the paints as well as the vibrancy of colors.
To make my card, I stamped my poppies onto white cardstock using black Versafine ink. After allowing the ink to dry, I colored each section of the petals with watercolor paint and a waterbrush.
Tip- color one section and then color another section far away from this first. This will allow your paint to dry and not bleed from one section to the next. Here is a close up of the colored flowers:

For the background, I couldn’t decide which embossing folder I wanted to use as well as whether I should use white or kraft cardstock. Therefore, I made multiple backgrounds using some of my favorite folders:

I love to have extra embossed folders on hand and ready to go for my next craft project. I also wanted to show you how I label my folders. I use label maker to tag each folder. I used to use a Sharpie, but the ink would often rub off.
To finish the card, I used one of the Happy Birthday foil tabs. I wanted to show you what the tabs look like so that you can see all the different fonts. You get two sheets of tabs in the package:

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you were inspired to watercolor some of your floral images.
