Dahlia Stem Spotlight Circles
by Jean Okimoto

A trio of blossoms from the new Dahlia Stems Cling Stamp delivers birthday greetings. The diecut circles spotlight the bold blossoms on a simple slimline design. Add a Happy Birthday Foil Greeting Black Tag tied with twisty curled loops of gold cord.

Stamp Dahlia Stems on pink cardstock with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair. Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder. Cut the blossoms with the 2″ Circle Basics die.

Cut gray metallic cardstock with the smallest Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangle die. Cut 1 and one-half of the same rectangle from Black Glossy Paper. Overlap the black rectangles to create a 6-7/8″ strip. The overlapped section will be hidden by the center circle.

Attach the rectangles and circles to a light gray slimline card (3.5″ x 8.5″).

Tie gold cord thru the loop of a Happy Birthday Foil Greeting black Tag. Curl the cord with the side of a bonefolder or the flower burnishing tool.

Add 1/4″ dots punched from the pink Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad 6×6. Five dots instead of my usual conservative 3 dots!

Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The Dahlia Stems Cling Stamp is about 6 square inches. It’s perfect for watercoloring or stenciling with our matching Dahlia Stems Stencil Set. It’s also great to diecut with a puzzle die!
