Umbrella Full of Flowers
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone. I have a card feature the Umbrella Trio and Woven Flower Basket die sets. This card using the umbrella die to hold the flowers.

For the background trim a piece of purple card from the Lagoon pad to A2 size. Ink blend using Distress Dusty Concord Ink. Die cut the 2nd largest Notched Eyelet Frames die from white card stock and adhere on top.

For the focal image die cut the largess die from the Umbrella Trio die set from the same purple paper as the background. Ink blend the edges with Distress Dusty Concord Ink for shading. Adhere just the bottom of the 2 die cuts together so you can fit the flowers in it. Die but the handle 2 times out of black card stock and adhere together. Die cut the smaller flowers and stems and leaves from the Woven Flower Basket die set from heavy white card stock. Ink blend the flowers with Versafine Clair inks in to add just a shade of yellow and pink for the larger of the 2 flowers. For the smallest flower ink blend using a light blue ink. I used Pasco Paint pens to add color to the center of the flower. To ink blend the leaves I uses Distress ink in 2 shades of green for a shades look. Arrange the flower in stems in the umbrella, trimming some of the leaves as needed.

Adhere the background to a A2 size white card. Adhere the umbrella to the lower light hand side. For the sentiment statement the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Birthday Greetings stamp and die set using Distress Oxide Dusty Concord and clear heat emboss. Die cut using the matching die. Adhere to the card using foam tape.
