Caring thoughts and words of support are always appreciated. Let’s create an embossed layered friendship card in soft shades of pink and gold to help someone through a challenging time. Accent the design with strands of metallic thread and add a Thinking of You Greeting Tab to brighten their day!

Cut a 4.24″ x 4.5″ piece of pale pink cardstock. Spritz both sides with a light mist of water. Place it in the Playful Poppies 3D Embossing Folder and pressure-emboss it using the plate(s) required for your machine. Tap the blossoms with a Distress Oxides flamingo kitsch inkpad to highlight the detailed design. Dry the ink. Stencil the stamen using the Playful Poppies 6×6 Art Stencil and Brilliance Graphite Black. Dry the ink. Diecut the blossoms with the matching dies included in the embossing folder and die set. Save the extra poppies for another project.

Cut the white and gold Poppystamps Birthday Fun striped 6×6 with the 1.5″ x 2.75″ Rectangle Basics die. Cut pale pink cardstock with the 2.25″ x 3.5″ Rectangle Basics die. Securely tape and attach gold thread behind the rectangle. Wind the thread – angled and overlapping – on the left side of the rectangle. Tape the thread on the reverse side, then trim it.
Cut a 4.75″ x .75″ strip of the gold-dotted Birthday Fun 6×6. Attach the diecuts to a top-folded white A2 card – use foam dots for the poppy. Add a Thinking of You Foil Greeting Black Tab. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Simple accents like this delicate gold thread add quiet bling to cards without overwhelming the focal design. Hope you’ll try it on your cards and tags too.
