The new Memory Box Frames are great for backgrounds, focal points and tunnel cards. Here’s a design that takes it a step further – trim Fan Stitch Scalloped Square Frames into scalloped triangles, rotate them and create a Christmas tree for the new Snuggled Penguin.

Yes, they really are square – I just photographed them at the wrong angle here. Cut the pine branch Yuletide Cheer 6×6 print with the second-largest Fan Stitch Scalloped Square Frame. Cut it into triangles with three of the smaller dies – edges of the large frame will be the bottom of each triangle.
Cut heavy white cardstock – or 2 layers of regular cardstock glued together – with the second-largest Fan Stitch Scalloped Square Frame die. Cut a gold cardstock using one of the Snuggle Penguin’s arms. Trim it to resemble a tree trunk.
Attach the tree diecuts to the background – use foam tape along the bottom edges of the triangles and at the top.

Cut Snuggled Penguin from watercolor paper and Black Glossy Paper (cardstock). Cut the feet (flippers? paws?) from an orange 6×6 in the Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock Pack. Cut the under-layer for the face from the orange cardstock and color the eye areas with a marker.

Cut the beanie and scarf from a teal 6×6 in the Lagoon Solid Core Cardstock Pack. Punch a 1/4″ teal circle for a pompom on the beanie. Cut them again from the dark teal Festive Glitter Pad 6×6. Assemble the hat, scarf and penguin and attach it with foam tape. Attach 1/4″ dots punched from the dark teal 6×6. Add a Merry Christmas Foil Greetings White Tab – use foam tape on the left side. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Thanks for visiting…hope the great new dies from the Christmas Charm release have inspired you to create holiday cards for everyone on your list!
