‘Tis the Season
by Jean Okimoto

Evergreens, berries and the Heirloom Candlestick Holder are ready to greet the holidays…’tis almost the season! Select traditional reds and greens – or combine shades of pink, violet and purple with splashes of green, glitter and gold. A Christmas Magic Label creates an instant greeting.

Cut a dark green 6×6 from the Greenery Solid Core Cardstock Pack with the 2.8″ wide Heritage Rectangle Frame. Cut a .75″ x 5.75″ strip of the violet/green Fuchsia Plaid 6×6. Attach both pieces to a white A6 card (6.25″ x 4.5″).

Cut the Heirloom Candlestick Holder from matte gold cardstock. Cut the candle from bright pink cardstock. Cut the flame from a yellow/orange Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock 6×6.

Create contrasting shaded diecuts for the candle drips and flame center by covering scraps of the same pink and yellow/orange cardstock with VersaMark ink. Heat-emboss the ink with detail clear powder for a slightly darker glossy surface. Diecut the drips and under-layer of the flame from the embossed cardstock. Assemble the candlestick holder and candle – but don’t attach them to the background. It’s easier to attach the pine sprigs and berries behind the candlestick holder first, then attach everything to the card.

Cut 3 sets of the Evergreen Holly Bundles pine sprigs from a Greenery bright green 6×6. Cut the berries from the pink Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad 6×6. Attach the sprigs and berries behind the candlestick holder, then attach everything to the background.

Trim the left side of the Christmas Magic Label and attach it to the card. Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

I enjoy creating and sharing detailed designs like this one – and it’s great to have a variety of instant foiled greeting tabs, labels and circles ready to finish the card!

Thanks for visiting…have a great weekend!
