Gilded Scroll Ornament Pumpkins
by Jean Okimoto

Turn the elegant Gilded Scroll Ornament into plump ribbed pumpkins for a Halloween card. It’s what you do when you need jack-o-lanterns for the ghost and cat. Create a window card for a bit of mystery and add the Ghostly Cat from Poppystamps.

Cut a side-folded recycled Kraft A2 card with the 3.2″ Round Eyelet Circle Frame die. Cut a black cardstock circle frame and attach it inside the card.

Cut 2 Gilded Scroll Ornaments from an orange Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock Pack 6×6. Rotate the die 180 degrees and use the rounded edge to trim the decorative point. One circle will be used horizontally and one will be used vertically. Punch eyes and mouths with a screwpunch or rotating leather punch. Punch a small hole near the top edge to insert the leafy stems later. Lightly tape the circles to scrap paper and roll them through paper crimper. Ink the ridges with Summertime VersaFine Clair. Dry the ink. Use a skewer to re-define the eyes and mouth after they’re been through the crimper.

Cut the curlicue overlay from a Greenery Solid Core Cardstock 6×6. Trim 2 sets of “leafy tendrils” from it. insert them through he tiny punched holes and tape the ends behind the pumpkins.

Stamp and ghost and BOO – from the Pumpkin Kisses Clear Stamp and Die Set – on white and orange cardstock woth Nocturne VersaFine Clair. Dry the ink, then trim them with th dies from the stamp/die set,

Cut the Poppystamps Ghostly Car from black and white cardstock.

Attach the diecuts to the card – use foam dots for the tops of the ghost and cat heads and the right edges of the pumpkins.

Punch 1/4″ dots from the dark black/gold Majestic Hues Glitter Pad 6×6. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
