I’m still in need of many more Christmas cards. This is a very traditional one—red & green and a poinsettia. The card design with the vellum circle is one I found on Pinterest and adapted for today’s card.
The card base was created with Cherry Red cardstock. The patterned paper strip came from one of the pretty papers in the Jolly Christmas 6X6 paper pad.

I die cut the poinsettia and leaves from colored cardstock, using the Blush and Greenery paper pads as well as a scrap from my stash for the lighter leaves that coordinate with the patterned paper. I added ink blending to all the leaves and the center of the flower.
Once the poinsettia was assembled, I die cut a vellum circle with a Circle Basic die. I added it to the card base and arranged the floral in the center. The greeting is from the Merry Christmas Black Foil Tabs. It was a great size for this card, and I love being able to choose from several different fonts. This font is a favorite. The final touch was to add three gold pearls from my stash to enhance the gold in the patterned paper as well as the sentiment strip.

I’ll be back next week with another Christmas card—this one on the cuter side.
