Clearly, my mind was on cooling off when I made this birthday card featuring the beautiful Viola pattened papers:
Dave has been at it again – I think I may have to nickname him Dave the Die King – lol!
All this week we’re having a blog blitz over at Outside the Box (the Memory Box Design Team blog) to reveal the new summer 2012 collection.
The Viola collection of patterned papers is so pretty – I love the mixture of all those purples with some green and light blue thrown in for good measure!
I enjoyed making today’s card so much! I’m sending it to my nephew who just got married… Dan and Didi, this is for y’all!
This particular card is one of my personal favorites because it’s simple yet not boring. (I can do simple but I’m constantly struggling withboring.) You can make several of these in one sitting to have on hand and then switch out the sentiment to suit the occasion. (You can probably churn out a dozen of these in less than an hour.)
One of the things I love best about Memory Box papers is that they are very versatile. For instance, did you know that the Mistletoe collection may have been made with Christmas in mind, but over half the papers can be used on non-Christmas cards. Case in point:
Welcome to Day Five of our week-long Blog Blitz!
I was in the mood for some vintage today, and this is what I made:
I’m planning on watching the game, but I’ll be making some simple and easy cards while I do it. Here’s one that’s very easy to recreat and can be done in a variety of ways – just switch out the papers, dies, and/or sentiments, and you get a whole different card!
