Falling Leaves

Well, maybe not yet, but soon.  Hope you've had a chance to try out some of the new dies.  This card uses two of the new dies and the slightly older Round Buttons die.  By layering thin metallic paper on thick cardstock or thin chipboard, you are able to make a very realistic looking button.  You are also able to customize buttons for any of your projects.  The next material I'm anxious to try is cutting felt or canvas.  Here's the card:

Doesn't the button look like a real button.  I love the dimension on it.  Here are the supplies I used for the button:

Stamp Fall Leaf Trio with Stazon on glossy paper and sponge on color with Distress inks.  Cut out with matching die and sponge edges with Brushed Corduroy.  Next stamp Index Card with Chocolate ink on Moroccan Latte paper and cut with die.  Cut rectangle of Woodland Paths designer paper and round corners.  Create the button by first adhering thin weight variegated metallic paper to thicker weight brown cardstock with Xyron.  Then cut with Round Buttons die.  Wrap ribbon around index card panel and tie on button with thin twine.
