Frosted Vine

I hope you've all been enjoying the amazing creations from my uber talented teammates using the newly released dies and stencils! You can find all of the newly released dies and stencils HERE

I'm the last post for the blitz, but you have until 11pm EST Sunday October 26th to leave comments on the posts for a chance to win.  The winners will be announced on Monday October 27th.  Good luck to everyone.

I've used a couple of the fabulous new dies and a new stencil.  The dies Frosted Vine Border, Let it Snow Clouds and stencil Tiny Snowflakes

I used a heavy acetate for the base of the card (A2).  I used Brusho water color crystals in blue to create the background on watercolor paper and then used the Tiny Snowflake stencil with silver embossing paste.  I used silver mirror cardstock for the die cuts.  That makes for some tricky photography:)

I recut the Let it Snow Clouds in white cardstock and inlaid just the words into the clouds.  The Frosted Vine Border was used on the inside of the card and cut down to fit the width of the card and the bottom portion was trimmed to the height I wanted for this design.

I didn't want to waste any of the very pretty silver cardstock I had just cut into, and the Let it Snow Clouds creates the words separately, so perfect for making another card without switching out materials!

Again, I cut the Frosted Vine Border from the silver cardstock, the words from the Let it Snow Clouds (that was cut from the previous card) and used the silver embossing paste with the Tiny Snowflakes stencil.  I used a couple of different red Brusho crystals for the background colors.

I used the stencil and the paste on the acetate in this design whereas in the last card I used the stencil and paste on the watercolor paper.  One little tip I can pass along from my learning process with these cards…when using acetate as the cardbase, it's better to use a dry adhesive to adhere your paper and die cuts especially with the larger piece of watercolor paper.  Even with thick acetate, the liquid adhesive will tend to curl the acetate as it dries!

Thanks for swinging by today and good luck to everyone.  Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win the Frosted Vine Border…remember the more posts you comment on, the greater your chances are for being a lucky winner!
