Morning Crafty Friends,
Nothing refreshes quite like summer citrus—limes, lemons, and tangerines. Their bright and zesty peels are certainly "happy" colors. Today's card can brighten your day with its colorful fruits and thoughtful sentiment.

The words, "This" and "makes me" are from the clear stamp set called Smile. I really like mixing fonts when stamping messages. "Happy" is from the wonderful die set, Share the Happiness.
Also, I die cut each piece of citrus in 3 colors, then pieced them together; darkest color for the peel, lightest color for the pith, medium color for the citrus segments. I used all the new citrus dies today: Large Citrus Round, Small Citrus Round and the Sour Citrus Wedges.
The Zig-Zag front edge, made by using the Open Studio Stitched Country Borders die, gives a little hint about the inside of the card….

Make your own patterned paper by using the Memory Box Texture Distressed Grid stencil over white paper and sponge randomly with coordinating inks. I attached the stencil to the paper using removable tape so it won't slip and slide during the blending process.

Thanks for stopping in today for a refreshing, citrus-y break.
Happy Friday!

Beautiful card! Love the soft colors & the distressed background.
