Hello everyone. I need birthday cards and wanted to get some colouring therapy in, so today I have a cheery floral birthday card made with the beautiful Birthday Rose Corner stamp set from the Spring collection.
Jennifer McGuire recently shared some Front Flap cards, and her balloon card inspired mine. I streamlined the process by starting with a top folding card base created from no bleed through alcohol friendly cardstock. The image was stamped with alcohol friendly black ink and coloured in with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.

It was then die cut out with the matching die.

The background is a single A2 size Bristol panel. Blended light gray dye ink through a Bold Stripes stencil from Birch Press and stamped the sentiment from Poppy Stamps Birthday Blowout with Archival black ink.

Because the alcohol friendly cardstock I used does not bleed through, it saved me from having to die cut a white piece to cover up the back.

To finish, clear shimmer was added to the roses.

As you can see, the only part of the card that opens is that small corner piece. Thank you for spending time with me. Stay home and craft on!

I have to go watch her video because this is just gorgeous. Your coloring is beautiful and this is so unique. What kind of card stock doesn’t bleed through?
beautiful card, Trina!
A beautiful stamped and colored image! Love the flap!
Love how you did this!! The mini shaped card on top of the single striped background is a fabulous and unusual way to make a card. Gorgeous colours too – yellow and purple always look so spring-like to me.
Such a clever beautiful front flap design, Trina. TFS your extra photos and the link to the technique. Stay safe dear friend and have fun creating. Your beautiful designs are always so inspiring. Love and Hugs…Nancy
