Plaid Cactus
by Anne Thompson

How about another card featuring the FLOWERING CACTUS clear stamps and dies set CL5271D?!  And more plaid!  I love the scraps of green plaid that I used for the cacti and the sentiment on this card.

Such happy little cacti!

I started with a white notecard that I covered with a piece of yellowy green cardstock from the Lush Green Collection SP1003.  I added a smaller piece of a lime green dot paper from my scrap box to the center.

I used VersaClair Shady Lane ink to stamp the cacti (twice) and the sentiment "always choose happiness" on the green plaid paper and to stamp the two butterflies on a darker green cardstock from the Lush Green pack.  I used the coordinating dies to cut out the cacti and the butterflies and trimmed the sentiment to fit in the lower right corner of the card.

As I added the cacti to the card front I let them go over the edges of the dot paper.  Once I had the sentiment secured in the lower righthand corner I added one of the butterflies to draw attention to that corner and placed the other one in the open space in the upper left.  I kept the images flat because I plan to write a note on the inside left panel.

So many lovely sentiments in this stamp set!

Happy Crafting!
