Cool a warm summer day with a splash of water from the new Rustic Watering Can. It’s laminated to create a metallic look, and tied with a Birthday Party Foil Greeting Tag. Layer it over a Pinpoint Burst Plate and fill it with blossoms and foliage from the new Arched Flower Basket set.

Cut watercolor paper with the 3.75″ Circle Basics die. Place the circle on the Pinpoint Burst Plate – face down, on the design. Diecut it. Cut black cardstock with the 3.5″ Circle Basics die and attach it behind the larger circle. The black cardstock adds dimension – and contrasting color behind the tiny dots.

Cover the dark green 6×6 from the Greenery Solid Core Cardstock Pack with laminate and cut the Rustic Watering Can. It also includes a top handle – but it’s not used here. Attach the background circle to a top-folded square white card. Attach the watering can with foam tape – just along the side and bottom edges, and the spout. Leave the top edge unattached to insert flowers and greenery.
Cut the flowers and centers from the Arched Flower Basket set from yellow and orange 6×6’s from the Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock Pack. Cut the leaves from a medium green Greenery 6×6. Cut the centers from a lime green Greenery 6×6.

Here’s a tip if you’re creating your own design and color combos – assemble the flowers, but don’t add the contrasting centers yet. Arrange and attach the flowers and foliage to the card. Now add the flowers’ contrasting centers – it’ll be easier to pick the colors once the basic flowers are attached. Use the extra lime green diecuts as accents.
Tie a Birthday Party Foil Greeting Tag onto the handle with gold cord. Curl the cord using the side of a bone folder, or a flower burnishing tool. Follow the curve of the cord for best results. Add foam tape behind the tag.
Cut a 5.5″ square of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing. Square cards require special handling and postage – but this is for a special celebration!
