Hi everyone! For my card today I thought I would use a patriotic color palette since I have many birthdays to celebrate this summer.
I’m using products from the new Sunkissed Summer release and a few older products mixed in.

I began by die cutting white cardstock using the largest frame from the new Cinched Frames set. Next, I die cut the panel again using the Pinpoint Leaf Plate, and ink blended the background using Navy Ink. When the ink was dry, I spattered it with white ink and used foam tape to adhere it to a white card base.
I die cut the flowers from Red, Blue and White cardstock, and used a darker ink to add a little shading. The flower centers were die cut from gold metallic cardstock. I did the same with the leaves using Green cardstock. The cake base was die cut from White card stock, and the banners and candles were cut from Red, White and Blue cardstock. I cut 3 candles from white cardstock, colored the flames with yellow ink, cut the flame off and glued them to the colored candles.
I die cut the largest Narrow Woodgrain Plank from Brown cardstock and inked it with a darker brown ink to give it some shading. I know it’s hard to see the plank under the cake, but it’s there. Lol I might of got carried away with all the flowers.
I assembled the cake and candles first and used thin foam tape to glue it to the card. Next I assembled the flowers and used foam tape to adhere some of them to the card and tucked in and glued the leaves in place. I glued additional flowers as needed.

To finish the card, I glued the Happy Birthday foil strip to the cake and added some gold embellishments to cake.
That’s it for today! I hope you enjoyed today’s card!
