A Little Bit of Plaid by Jean Okimoto

A little plaid goes a long way as an accent between two White Anemone Rub-Ons.  The pale blue background intensifies the shades of blue on the rub-on transfers.  Hi – Happy Spring!  Jean here with a simple floral design for the first day of spring.

Cut a pale blue 6×6 from the Stormy Blue Collection with the 2-¾” x 4″ Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Cut the anemone rub-on from the White Anemone Rub-On Set – leave a generous margin around the design.

Carefully remove the paper backing.  Gently tap the design onto the blue rectangle.  Place it between two layers of printer paper and roll it through a diecut machine using the same plates you’d use to diecut.  Carefully remove the frosty plastic liner.

Trim the left edge of the rectangle using the long edge of a large die from the die set.  Cut another rectangle with the 1-½” x 2-¾” die and transfer a small single flower from the rub-ons set.

Cut a diagonal pale blue/lavender Anemone Plaid 6×6 with the 2-¾” x 4″ die.

Cut the background of the new Just a Hello Posh Script die from the pale blue 6×6 used for the rub-ons.  Spritz both sides with a light mist of water.  Pressure-emboss it using the detailed greeting die and the plate(s) required for your machine.

Cut a medium blue/lavender 6×6 from the Ocean Blue Collection with the detailed die.  Attach the detailed layer – it’ll fit snugly into the debossed background.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½” c 6-¼”).  Add pale gold Autumn Fairy Jewels.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
