Woodgrain panel diecuts are great for piers, birdhouses, log cabins, rustic backgrounds – and Christmas trees. The new Narrow Woodgrain Planks are perfectly-proportioned to create a wonky tree – without the labor of measuring and cutting wood planks to the right lengths. Hi, Jean building a DIY holiday tree design..

Cut Narrow Woodgrain Planks from a green 6×6 in the Greenery Collection. Save the longest piece for another project. Cut a ¼” x 4-¼” strip of the Kraft Woodgrain Paper for the trunk. Ink it lightly with Vintage Sepia VersaFine.

Attach adhesive label paper or a sticker sheet to bright red wool-blend felt to stabilize it and prevent adhesives from saturating it. Cut Layered Birds. Cut the birds again from the bright red Festive Glitter Pad 6×6. Assemble the birds in a combination of felt and glittered bases and overlays – save the extra birds for another project.
Cut the new Snowflake Joy background from the prepped red felt too. Cut the detailed top layer from heavy white cardstock. Cut two center snowflakes from the bright red Festive Glitter Pad 6×6 – for the treetop and the greeting.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½” x 6-¼”). Add clear Fairy Drops. Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
