Pretty Dahlias
by Vicki Dutcher

The lovely Dahlia Stems Stamp is a 6×6 rubber cling stamp. I don’t make 6×6 cards, however, I went ahead and stamped the entire image on a little bigger panel, and used the wonderful matching Dahlia Stems Stencil to ink color the image. I used a die to cut down my image.

By using this die, I moved it around until I found what part of the imageI wanted to be on the front of my card. Taped it down, and die cut it.

After stamping a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set, I finished this card off by hand framing the outside edge. The winning part of cutting the image is I had the left over image piece and could not let that go to waste. I am known for including a small gift in with my cards and what better then a bookmark to match my card!

I used one of the Gold Foiled White Greeting Tags. This was the perfect addition since this particular card was mailed in January. A win in my book!

======================

I couldn’t stop at 1 card! This time, I off stamped the Dahlia Stems image onto a panel and again, used the stencil for coloring. For added interest, I made a smaller left border panel by using the Polkadot Stencil Set, and then inked more color over the top of the dots. I stamped the sentiment, added a gold strip, and this card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by~
