The New Birthday Blossoms Release

The Birthday Blossoms Collection has arrived! Fresh new dies, clear and cling stamps, stencils and foil greeting tabs and tags – perfect for spring, summer and year-round greetings, journals, layouts and mixed-media projects.

Today’s design features the new Woven Flower Basket set of 14 versatile dies to mix, match and layer in your favorite colors. Add diecut texture to the basket – or as shown here – pressure-emboss it for a more subtle design.

There are so many great designs to choose from – and the 6×6 Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock Pack creates an assortment of warm, bright blooms. I cut all of the blossoms and centers from 3 contrasting 6×6’s so I could play with the colors, textures and shapes. Mindful planning and pre-selection aren’t part of my design routine! Assemble the flowers.

Cut the foliage from 2 shades of the Greenery Solid Core Cardstock. Cut the centers from the lighter green 6×6.

Cut the Woven Flower Basket from light kraft cardstock. Spritz the basket base with a light mist of water and pressure-emboss it using the rubber embossing mat and plate(s) required for your machine. Assemble the basket. Attach a tag from the new Birthday Party Foil Greeting White Tags* to the basket handle with gold cord – you’ll trim and fray the ends later. (*Birthday Party Foil Greeting White Tags ST040 is the item number, but black tags 039 is incorrectly shown below)

Cut the 3″ wide new Notched Eyelet Frame from white cardstock and attach it to a top-folded white A2 card. Attach the basket – use foam tape along the sides and bottom edge. Add the leaves and flowers. Add foam tape behind the tag. Trim the cord and fray the ends.

Add some extra flowers to balance the design with little pops of color. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
