My neighbor”s poppies have blossomed! These flowers make me so happy with their bright red tones. So I had to make one more poppy card. The stamp and die set — PLAYFUL POPPIES CL5281D — is from the 2026 Spring Blooms Collection. The stamp set is also available on its own as CL5281. I used a red card stock paper from BLUSH SP1012 for the background as well as a scraps of white watercolor paper and a piece of SP1011 GREENERY which I cut using two of the CINCHED FRAMES 94944.
I stamped the poppies on watercolor paper with VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink and painted them with Kuretake watercolors. When they were dry I used the coordinating die to cut them out.
To assemble the card, I layered the green Cinched Frame on top of the white one and added that panel to the lower right corner of the red background paper. After auditioning several placement options, I used dimensional foam dots to add the poppies on top of the other papers.
Whatever sentiment I choose for this card will be tucked inside. I can think of so many occasions when this card will be the perfect one to send.
