Greetings friends. Happy Saturday! I wanted to share the Wishful Snowman with you today. For my card, I wanted it to look like he was decorating a Christmas Tree. The snowman die comes with the headgear, scarf and star, but I had to add a tree from the Log Cabin Scene die set.
Let’s start with the background, I die cut some of the Memory Box white woodgrain paper using the Fan Stitch Scalloped Frame set. I then sprayed it with a dark blue water-based die. The company who made the spray no longer exists, but a comparable spray would be Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stains. Blueprint Sketch would be a good alternative to the spay I have. You could also apply blue watercolor paint to get a similar look. When the paper was dry, I flattened it underneath heavy books and then splattered the piece with watered-down white guache paint to give the illusion of snow.
For the snowman, I diecut the pieces from white cardstock and then colored the scarf, hat and face with copic markers. I cut the tree out of two shades of green cardstock and the star out of gold glitter paper.
To finish the card, I added a white frame behind the blue background and added some gems to the tree for extra bling.
Here is a close up:

Have a fantastic, and hopefully crafty, weekend.
