Snowy Sleigh Ride
by Jean Okimoto

Wyatt Bird, Sarabell Bird and Ollie Bird from the Holiday Harmony release enjoy a snowy sleigh ride. It’s a cozy-snug fit in the Festive Sleigh! The Pinpoint Snowflake Plate background also reminds us that Christmas is coming soon.

Here are the new items on today’s card. Prep aqua, light teal and bright red wool-blend felt for diecutting by attaching them to adhesive label paper or a sticker sheet. The paper backing stabilizes the felt and prevents adhesives from saturating it.

Cut Ollie’s and Wyatt’s scarves and hats from felt and matching 6×6’s in the Lagoon Solid Core Cardstock Pack. Cut Sarabell’s hat and scarf from felt and Cherry Red cardstock.

Cut the birds from two shades of kraft cardstock. Cut the base layer for the faces from an orange 6×6 in the Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock Pack. Color the eye areas with a black marker. Assemble the warmly-dressed bird trio.

Cut and assemble Festive Sleigh from Cherry Red and kraft cardstock. Lower the scalloped trim a bit for some contrast near the birds.

Cut Pinpoint Snowflake Frame from watercolor paper. Trim 1/4″ from one long edge. Attach it to a white A6 card (4.5″ x 6.25″). Attach the birds and sleigh – use foam tape behind their hats and faces.

Stamp the greeting – from the new Christmas Wonder Clear Stamp and Die Set – on white cardstock with Pearlescent Jade Brilliance. Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder. Trim it horizontally with the 1.25″ x 2.50″ Rectangle Basics die. Trim the excess with the short edge of the die.

Stamp and emboss the snowflakes too. Trim them with 1/2″ and 5/8″ or 3/4″ circle punches.

Here are the items on today’s card – 95002 Ollie Bird, 95004 Sarabell Bird, 95007 Wyatt Bird, 94928 Festive Sleigh, 94513 Pinpoint Snowflake Plate, 30086 Rectangle Basics, CL5294D Christmas Wonder Clear Stamp and Die Set, SP1010 Lagoon Solid Core Cardstock Pack, SP1013 Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock Pack, SH44015 Cherry Red Paper Pack.

Cut watercolor paper with the 2.5″ x 3.75″ Rectangle Basics die.

Attach everything to the background. Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting…have a great weekend!
